New bird control device at Sarajevo International Airport

Birds are quite common at Sarajevo International Airport because of its specific location. In order to prevent collision between birds and aircraft that can endanger safety of air traffic operations, the Airport takes all necessary measures keeping pace with the latest technological solutions.
The Airport recently bought a new device from the Dutch company cold „Bird Control Group“, that has proven very useful so far because it is efficacious in various conditions:

• in low visibility conditions (clouds, rain, nightfall, etc.)
• at larger distances, when other methods fail
• suitable both for single birds and flocks
• scatters various birds (crows, jackdaws, starlings).

Sarajevo International Airport has thus once again demonstrated it dedication to constantly improve safety of air traffic.
